I love breaking down sessions into little parts, so it is easier on little ones (and some big people too). I will shoot one roll of film capturing lots of love, hugs, laughter, and emotion and then take a little break and explore another area. This not only gives me time to reload my camera(s), but the kids need some downtime and like to go on an adventure finding a new place to explore next. This keeps them involved and happy, and it is a great way for me to get to know their personalities. For this mini part of our shoot, I was focusing on the older sister since it was her 5th birthday, and of course, the baby couldn’t resist getting in on all the tickles. This only took about five minutes to shoot, just enough time for everyone to have fun but not get worn out and want to be done.
